The Exchange Rate Between Leak and Launch Is Converging to 1:1

The old game: build in secret, launch big.

The new game: leak incrementally, launch smaller.

Here is what changed.

The Old Model

Launches were events. Months of stealth development. Big reveal. Customer finds out about your product the same day you find out about theirs.

This worked when discovery was one-directional. You told them what you made. They either bought it or did not.

What Changed

AI changed the feedback loop. Now customers discover your product before you launch. They ask ChatGPT what the best option is. They ask Perplexity for alternatives. They ask Claude for recommendations.

If your product is not being talked about before launch, it will not be talked about at launch.

The leak is the launch. Every public bug fix, every feature tweak, every failure shared publicly compounds into credibility.

The New Math

Leak = Launch. The exchange rate is now 1:1.

The market does not distinguish between a secret launch and an incremental launch. Both feel new to the customer. But the incremental approach builds trust through transparency.

The Opportunity

Most founders are still playing the old game. They hide their work until it is perfect.

You can win by leaking your journey. Share the ugly numbers. Show the messy code. Document the pivots.

Your competitors are not talking. That is your advantage.

I am documenting my entire journey. The wins and the losses. The revenue and the bugs. Everything.

That is the launch strategy.
